All aboard the Astral Express! Our first cosplay project from Honkai Star Rail completed! We started planning to make HSR cosplays for AX, and at the time of the game’s launch, there weren't many characters revealed yet so in the meantime we're happy to have Caelus and March 7th kick off our HSR cosplay train!

We modeled their accessories and trinkets on Blender and 3D printed with PLA. We haven't done a lot of sci-fi themed costumes so it was also exciting to work with different materials, i.e. using reflective tape as embellishments. For both their weapons, we made them breakable in the middle for travel purposes, and we attached PVC pipe on the inside for reinforcement.

Caelus
The coat was the bulk of the work for him. We used mock fabric to draft the weird seams on the sides, back, sleeves, and cuffs. His gloves were pleather gloves we cut up and the details were hand-stitched. We modeled the bat on Blender and 3D printed using both regular PLA and transparent PLA. We installed lights inside so the bat can light up.

March 7th
She wasn't too difficult to make so we decided to have some fun with her and made our own personal touches. On her top, we added floral embroidery that matched the floral motifs she had. On her skirt, we added bunnies as an ode to the ice bunnies in her burst skill animation. We modeled the bow on Blender and 3D printed into a total of 40 pieces. Her camera is an actual polaroid as Mei has always wanted one for a while, so this was the perfect excuse to get one.
