We actually started this project a long time ago but we put it off for so long to work on other things, and going to Distant Worlds concert is the ultimate kick to finally get them done! While Mei has been a long time FF fan, FFXV is the first FF game I played as it came out so it has a special spot in my heart (though I've since played many of the other ones too).

Noctis (Kingly Raiment ver.)
We modified patterns and used mock fabric to draft most of the pieces, but otherwise his coat, cape, and pants were pretty straightforward. We didn't make his innermost shirt from scratch but did minor modifications to a shirt we already owned. Our personalizations are machine embroidery where we designed motifs inspired by Noctis' in-game skill menu. We also used the Armiger icons as badges on his belt. His armor pieces were made from EVA foam, and his sword and accessories were modeled and 3D printed. We made the belt out of pleather. While there's technically a different sword design that goes with this version of Noctis, his engine blade is so iconic and I love how weird it looks so we chose to make it instead.

Lunafreya
While she looks simpler than Noctis, she was actually more difficult for us to figure out only because this is the first time we've ever made a draped dress. At first we didn't even know where to start and had to experiment so much. We ended up manually draping the entire dress and used a lot of invisible hand stitching. We added our original designs with the hip sash and used the same machine embroidery that matches Noctis' motifs. We changed her back design also to make it more backless and added laces. Her prop is modeled and 3D printed.
